Yoga Retreat for Women of Color: Soulful Living: Rooted and Reaching

February 5–7, 2027

An Empowering Black History Month Celebration.

Soulful Living: Rooted and reaching

Your roots run deeper than you know. Your legacy is more powerful than you realize. The faith, strength, and wisdom you’ve inherited passes forward and multiplies when we share our stories.

Join Maya Breuer, Kiesha Battles, and Angela (Dharma) Fears for an empowering Black History Month celebration dedicated to reclaiming our narratives, honoring the wisdom of those who came before us, and nurturing the mind, body, and spirit. During this restorative weekend, you will enjoy:

Lifestyle practices through Yoga Philosophy and Ayurveda: Discover wellness routines, self-care practices, and foundational wisdom rooted in ancient principles to integrate balance and vitality into daily life.

Sunrise yoga practices: Gentle, revitalizing morning movement sessions designed to be fully accessible whether practicing on the mat or in a chair.

Meditation, Mantra, and Mudra: Deepen your practice using medicine for the mind, utilizing sacred sound vibrations and hand gestures to protect your energy and quiet the thinking mind.

Evening dance and movement: Celebrate sisterhood through joyful, soul-infused dance and music—wear something fun and express yourself freely!

Sacred Talking Stick ritual: A traditional circle practice honoring attentive listening, intentional presence, and respectful dialogue.

Personal reflection and storytelling: Sacred share circles and journaling opportunities to speak our truths, heal collectively, and pass our living legacies forward.

Let our stories from the past give us strength to reach beyond today's challenges. We invite all women of color to join in this weekend—giving a moment to reflect on the power of witnessing our shared experiences.

“The sounds of a group of women of color laughing, singing, crying, praying, dancing, connects me to the past, present, and future. The stories shared among us are pure food for the soul. Ready to return home to live the best life for me, my family, and my community.”
